Determination of Filter Blocking Tendency (FBT) of distillate fuel oils where the end use demands an exceptional degree of cleanliness. This test method is applicable to fuels within the viscosity range of 1.50 to 6.00 mm²/s (cSt) at 40°C. Test range 1.0-30 (FBT/FTP).
Filterability of middle distillate fuel oils within the viscosity range from 1.70 to 6.20 mm²/s (cSt) at 40°C. Test range100-1(F-QF).

Measuring Principle

Determination of the filter blocking tendency (FBT) and filterability of middle distillate fuel oils and liquid fuels such as biodiesel and biodiesel blends. The three procedures and associated filter types are applicable to fuels within the viscosity range of 1.3 mm2 to 6.0 mm2/s at 40 °C.
